Aqua Viva Presents the Program Let’s Get Our Children Moving

Belgrade, February 21, 2017 – Aqua Viva, brand of Knjaz Miloš company, today signed a protocol on cooperation on program Let’s Get Our Children Moving with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Serbian Association of Physical Education and Sports Teachers. The program Let’s Get Our Children Moving introduces everyday physical activity in all 1206 elementary schools in Serbia with an aim of preventing bad posture, spine deformities, obesity and lack of activity in younger students.
Being traditionally recognized as a brand that supports and promotes active lifestyle and regular physical activity, Aqua Viva initiated the program Let’s Get Our Children Moving because of the worrying stats about children’s health in Serbia, which show that as much as 70 percent of students lack physical activity, every fourth student is overweight, while every fifth one has bad posture.
Mladen Šarčević, minister of education, science and technological development, gave the following statement in this regard: „I am glad to see that such a responsible company as Knjaz Miloš and their brand Aqua Viva find themselves the initiators of important changes in our school system and a partner in a battle to exterminate all bad practices from schools. By introducing physical activity we are making a giant leap towards achieving this goal. Improved health of the youngest school kids is also a huge step forward for the school system, since healthy habits are the basis of all other school and life activities.”
„By starting the program Let’s Get Our Children Moving we want to raise awareness about problems and consequences of lack of physical activity in school children and emphasize the importance of regular exercising, especially in childhood years, for prevention of many health issues. In cooperation with the Ministry we introduce everyday physical activity in all elementary schools in Serbia aiming to change the current situation and with a desire to make this program a good habit of our future healthy generations”, said Miloš Stojisavljević, general manager of Knjaz Miloš company.
The program Let’s Get Our Children Moving is intended for lementary school children between I and IV grade and Aqua Viva has organized trainings for teachers from all elementary schools in Serbia, as well as creative practice materials and support of experts from the field of science, education and medicine. Starting from March, students and their teachers will spend 15 minutes a day practicing various models of exercises that have been invented by Serbian Association of Physical Education and Sports Teachers.
