Knjaz Miloš Doubles Its Capacities with New Production Facility

Knjaz Miloš Company has opened a new production facility Miloš and Antonio featuring two production lines for products in PET packaging and canned beverages. This expansion allows the company to double its capacity and become the largest bottler of water and non-alcoholic beverages in this part of Europe. Alongside existing lines, Knjaz Miloš will produce its entire portfolio of water and non-alcoholic beverages in Aranđelovac, which includes renowned regional and global brands such as iconic Knjaz Miloš sparkling mineral water, Aqua Viva still mineral water, Guarana energy drink, ReMix Knjaz and Tube soft drinks, as well as PepsiCo beverage brands such as Pepsi, Pepsi Zero, 7Up, Mirinda, Evervess, and Ivi.

“With the construction of the new production facility and capacities exceeding 700 million bottles across a total of 11 production lines, we are placing Knjaz Miloš on the map of the largest European soft drink manufacturers. Upholding our tradition of over two centuries, we are growing with the aim of becoming an even larger company for our employees and an even better partner to our customers and suppliers,” said Marko Stanković, Chief Executive Officer of Knjaz Miloš and Mattoni companies in the West Balkans, during the opening.

At the factory site in Aranđelovac, a total investment of over 28.5 million euros has been made. The new production facility spans an area of 6,310 m², including a new production hall, repro material warehouse, cold storage, syrup production facility, and water bottling plant.

The Republic of Serbia supported the construction with a subsidy of 4,675,000 euros. The growth through the new facility, production capacities, and market presence will be supported with 100 new jobs.

“In the past five years, since joining the Mattoni 1873 group, Knjaz Miloš has enriched our business with exceptional expertise, innovativeness, and responsible management, achieving record results year after year by maximizing existing resources. With the construction of this state-of-the-art facility equipped with the best production technologies, we are continuing our investments in Knjaz Miloš, which will bring products made in Serbia to European markets,” said Alessandro Pasquale, Owner and Executive President of the Mattoni 1873 Group.

“Thank you very much for everything you have prepared. I am happy to have seen our people, from the heart of Serbia, who work with great enthusiasm, passion, and love for the company. I regret that I did not meet Miloš Stojisavljević, but I have heard from everyone about the significant contribution he made to the company. Thank you for showing great love for the company you work for, and success is the result of that. I am grateful to the Pasquale family for everything they have invested and done for us. This is the first time we are modernizing the company Knjaz Miloš since 1997, and we have a completely new facility, technical and technological achievements, as well as a larger number of employees. People are the most important, and they make the state, which is why we are immensely proud of the opportunity to employ more workers than the company initially needed. Thank you to you, wonderful people, who built this factory and invested all your energy, years of hard work, and effort into it. Thank you also to those who are doing this today. I wish you much success in your future work. Because as we know, Knjaz is not water; it is our pride”, said the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

Knjaz Miloš is a leading producer of mineral water, non-alcoholic, and energy drinks in the Republic of Serbia, holding a significant position in the regional market. Since May 2019, it has been part of the Mattoni 1873 group and is now fully owned by it.
